I think the weather is starting to get to me. I’m constantly freezing, coughing, borrowing someone else’s coat, whining.
Maybe I’m just bitching. But today has been a pretty long, miserable day.

Chan Marshall has one of the most hauntingly striking voices out there. For fans of early PJ Harvey(think demos) and piano, this is your album. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys beauty. Because, well, it’s simply beautiful.

i am gonna try to let it go
my home has always been chapel hill and pittsboro. it’s easy to fall into place there, and i was raised to know absolutely everyone. i think i’m one of the few people that actually knew the majority of my high school, just because i wanted to talk to people. i liked being able to have diverse groups of friends, and we were all close. i am comfortable in pittsboro, and that’s why...
it will never be you, it will always be me
i have trouble producing anything remotely creative, even a sentence, the majority of the time. all these thoughts are just stored in my brain, and i have no way to release them without critiquing myself and feeling like an absolute ass.
but it’s a new year, and i’d like to think that i’m starting a new chapter in my life. a higher standard for myself, all around. fitter....
